| St. Christine’s
Soup Kitchen works on two separate days to prepare food at St. Robert’s
and St. Christine’s. We also take desserts to the soup kitchen
and prepare sandwiches for bag lunches.
On Monday evening we gather at St. Robert’s
gym kitchen cook ground beef, onions, and sauté apples
for the next day’s continued preparation. We meet at 7:00
p.m. and are finished about 8:30 p.m.
On Tuesday morning we gather at 8:30 a.m. and
pick up the food from our kitchen and take it to St. Christine’s
where it is made into spaghetti. The menu there continues with
making the vegetable of green beans (with onion and bacon), salad,
and applesauce. Desserts are set out and sandwiches are made for
bag lunches. We return to St. Robert’s about 1:00 p.m.
Baked goods for desserts are accepted for this
soup kitchen. Baked goods can be dropped off in the church hall
(cover, and place on the cabinets) or dropped at the gym kitchen
while we are preparing on Monday night.
