Cardinal Sports News Practice for Volleyball and Soccer will begin the week of August
11th. Please remember that all participants are required to
have a physical exam prior to the start of the season. The exams
must be conducted after July 1st. Physical exam forms are available
on the Athletics page of the St. Robert web site. Get your foursome ready for The Men’s Club Golf Outing
that will take place on Sunday August 17th at the Woodlands
of Van Buren located on Ecorse Rd. just east of I-275. The day
includes 18 holes of “scramble” golf followed by
dinner and prizes at the SRB Activities Building. Reserve your
spot by calling Jim Allan at (248)478-8130. As always, we are
in need of prizes. If you or someone you know is able to provide
one or more prizes, please contact Jim. Donations labeled “Men’s
Golf Outing” can also be dropped off at the parish office. All aboard for the Men’s Club July Train Show. The trains
will pull into the SRB station next Sunday, July 20th at beginning
at 11:00. See the article elsewhere in the bulletin for additional
information. Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the Men’s
Club August Lottery game. Tickets are $5.00 each and are valid
for the entire month. The winning 3-digit numbers is chosen
every Monday through Saturday by the Michigan Lottery. If your
ticket matches the winning 3 digit number from the evening game,
you win $50. If your umber is drawn on a Wednesday during the
month, you win $200.00. You can even win $10 by being 1 number
over or 1 number under the winning ticket. See any Men’s
Club member for additional information on ticket sellers to
purchase your tickets. By the way, you can purchase as many
as you wish while the supply lasts. Why not start a pool with
your friends or co-workers to increase your chances? We are still in need of soccer coaches for the upcoming season,
especially for the 5th and 6th grade team. Individuals interested
in coaching soccer should send a letter to the Athletic Department
indicating your desire to coach as well as some background information
about your prior coaching experience. You can also call or e-mail
the Athletic Department at the contact information listed below. The Athletics page of the parish website contains information regarding athletic activities available to the children of our parish.
